FICTION BOOKS
Fiction books are novels and stories that describe imaginary people and events.
The call numbers of fiction books are two lines and contain the letters FIC and the author’s last name. They are shelved in alphabetical order by the author's last name. Fiction books are located in left side of the tall stacks.

The call numbers of non-fiction books are two lines and contain numbers and the last name of the editor or author. They are shelved using the Dewey Decimal System. Non-fiction books are located in the right side of the tall stacks.
Numbers in a call number indicate the book is factual or nonfiction. REMEMBER: numbers = nonfiction
